After TWENTY successful festivals in the depth of Siberia and after TWO years of a compulsory silence, we launch the next edition of the INTERNATIONAL (META)KANSK VIDEO FESTIVAL — in exile.
A hybrid character of the event allows to incorporate online showcases and offline screenings in three countries: United States, Italy, and Serbia.
We still are focused on experimental works which are drifting, as a rule, between new cinematic and contemporary artistic languages.

Metakansk Festival + Experimental Field in Belgrade! / September 27-29

Welcome to KC Grad on September 27-29 and to KC Magacin on September 27 - October 1!
The Experimental Field project and XXI International METAKANSK Festival present their joint art program “In Search of Language” for the first time in Belgrade, taking place at KcGrad and KcMagacin from September 27 to October 1, 2024.
“The Experimental Field” is a self-organized artists’ initiative established over 8 years ago. Its goal is to create a “nutritious” environment for interacting with and experiencing reality together. Over the years, the organization has hosted more than 15 exhibitions and around 20 musical performances.
The annual international METAKANSK festival boasts over 20 years of successful activity. From September 27 to 28, the international short film competition program will be screened at KcGrad. It will feature works by directors and video artists from 18 countries of the world The festival jury will include: Luka Jovanov and Mihailo Ristić.
